Niefer was the first individual Canadian athlete to earn an Olympic quota place for London 2012 after finishing second in the 10m air rifle at the 2010 American Continental Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Cory attended the 2008 Olympic Games as the Canadian Rifle Coach.
